Independent, by design

An unofficial perspective.

This is an independent editorial concept by Petru Amortoae. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced for Charles Leclerc, Scuderia Ferrari, Formula 1, the FIA, the photographers or the licensors. Names and marks identify their subjects; no endorsement is implied.

For design enquiries, contact info@petruamortoae.com. This address reaches the designer, not the driver or his representatives.

The photographs.

All eight photographs below come from the linked Wikimedia Commons file pages. Each credit retains the photographer, source and exact Creative Commons license. Unaltered original downloads are preserved locally and available beside each photograph.

Display copies preserve the complete source frame and any original watermark. They were proportionally resized to a longest edge of 1,800 pixels and JPEG re-encoded, except the portrait, whose display file is byte-identical to the original. Resized display copies omit original EXIF metadata; original photographs retain their downloaded metadata.

The site additionally uses CSS viewport cropping, reduced saturation, monochrome or brightness filters, and occasional text overlays. These presentation changes do not alter the preserved originals. No face generation, retouching or watermark removal was applied to the files.

Adapted images marked BY-SA remain available under the same stated share-alike license. Keep attribution, license links and modification notices with redistributed copies; further image adaptations must follow the same or a compatible share-alike license. The CC licenses cover copyright permissions and do not themselves grant personality, publicity or trademark permissions.

Steffen Prößdorf's photographs carry personality/trademark and FIA accreditation notices on their source pages. This concept uses them as editorial imagery and makes no claim of a model release or endorsement. See the original source notices before any further use.

A quieter kind of website.

No analytics, tracking pixels, accounts or embedded third-party players. Photographs, fonts and the graphics library are served locally. External source and listening links open only when selected.

The motion control remembers your choice for the current local session and respects a reduced-motion preference. The playable instrument is an original browser synthesis: it starts with sound off, uses no Leclerc recordings and copies no melodies.

The written record.

Career copy uses official Formula 1, FIA and Formula 2 sources. The racing page presents eight selected historical victories from 2019, 2022 and 2024, rather than a current win total. Monaco landmark descriptions are supported by the official corner-name guide; the diagram is an artistic interpretation.

Facts and source availability checked 6 November 2026. Images retain the individual capture dates and caveats above. This concept makes no claim of an F1 world championship title.
